The South West England Smartcard Initiative PJ Associates are delighted to be selected to work with Local Authorities and Transport Operators in the South West of England to provide advice and expertise on the implementation of region wide ITSO Smart Ticketing. Established in 1993, PJA is an independent consultancy with extensive experience of your region, having worked closely with bus operators and local authorities to provide cost-effective smart ticketing solutions. We will bring to your project our in depth experience from designing and managing major smartcard and ticketing projects for many major schemes here and abroad. We have already made a significant contribution in the South West by developing the business case and associated report for a region wide system model. This model is the basis of the project to provide a regional HOPS back office and support to Local Authorities and Transport Operators. In addition we have previously undertaken studies for Devon and Cornwall County Councils into the costs involved in implementing County wide ITSO smartcard schemes. We have also assisted two bus operators in the region. As a result of this South West experience we are already familiar with the area, the proposed regional HOPS back office and the participants in the project. Underlying our South West experience is very considerable experience of implementing transport smartcard schemes, both ITSO and prior to ITSO. We have worked with a number of Local Authorities and Public Transport Executives. As a result of our considerable involvement from the outset with ITSO and during the last 10 years, we are very knowledgeable and experienced in ITSO and it’s implementation. |
