PJA is an independent management and engineering consultancy providing expertise in the fields of identity, low value transaction automation and public information processes and systems. Its principal consultants and most of its associates are chartered engineers with many years of pre-consultancy experience of product design. Formed in 1993, our principal consultants have continued to acquire extensive experience in all aspects of applying information technology and electromechanical engineering in practical situations; aspects from research through financial justification to implementation. PJA has provided technical management for some major smartcard and ticketing projects in the UK and in Malaysia. Our main areas of expertise include: · Payment systems in the fields of public transport ticketing, parking, road tolling, automatic vending and gaming; · National and local identity card systems; · Applying smartcards in multi-application situations. PJA is also actively involved in and a contributor to the work of International and European standards bodies in the fields of smartcards and transport ticketing.
