Bournemouth Transport Ltd (Yellowbus):
o
Procurement and
installation of smartcard enabled ETMs, together with a smartcard
system;
Nottinghamshire County
Council:
o
We designed a common
smartcard data format which 3 ETM suppliers and a printer/personaliser
supplier adopted to provide the first interoperable transport smartcard
scheme in the UK. This scheme, supporting concessions and scholars, has
been operational for around 10 years and is currently being replaced by
ITSO equipment;
The Harrow Trial of
contactless smartcards (1993-5):
o
Technical project
management on behalf of a supplier of on-bus equipment;
o
A key trial by London
Transport Buses which proved the technical capability and public
acceptability of contactless smartcards in the transport environment;
The Malaysian National
Identity Card:
o
Technical consultant to
the Malaysian Government;
o
A fully implemented and
operational multi-application smartcard which includes national
identity, drivers licence and transport applications;
The Malaysian Touch ‘n Go
Transport Smartcard:
o
Technical consultant to
the Renong Group;
o
A fully implemented and
operational multi-modal transport smartcard which supports e-purse, bus,
metro and rail tickets, road tolling and car parking.
PJ Associates
involvement with
ITSO:

Supported PTEG during the initial scoping
work which led to the formation of ITSO;

Authored half of the ITSO specification;

Undertook a validation exercise on the ITSO
Certification methodology and test scripts;

Peter Johnson is:
o
appointed as a founder
ITSO Editor for specification drafting, and still fulfils this role
today, providing support and advice to ITSO for maintenance of the
specification;

a founder member of the
ITSO technical committee;
o
represented a Local
Authority on the working party which developed the ITSO Operating
Licence into it’s current form;
o
is chair of an ITSO
Licensed Operator Group (ILOG) working group on Hotlists and other
customer related matters;

Tony Emery is chair of the ITSO Supplier
Special Interest Group (SSIG). He attends working group meetings and is
an ITSO Director (supplier sector).
